Coaches play an instrumental function within the growth of younger tennis gamers.

The Teaching Excellence – Improvement Award is introduced yearly on the Australian Tennis Awards. This award recognises these delivering a top quality, complete, holistic teaching program that focuses on the technical, tactical, bodily and psychological growth of gifted athletes primarily 14 years and beneath.

The 2023 finalists are:

Clint Fyfe (Qld): Fyfe delivers a thriving tennis program at Sunshine Coast Grammar Faculty. The varsity boasts a few of the state’s most promising junior abilities, together with Connor McEvoy and Aiden Serifovic.

Domenic Marafiote (SA): Marafiote is the director of Excessive Efficiency Tennis in Adelaide. He coaches a number of of South Australia’s most promising juniors, together with Kristina Tai and Leana Nannapeneni.

Antonie Vermaak (Vic): Vermaak runs the Tony Vermaak Tennis Academy in Melbourne. He is  the coach of Koharu Nishikawa, a promising 14-year-old who represented Australia within the Junior Billie Jean King Cup Finals in November.

The award winner shall be introduced on the 2023 Australian Tennis Awards, held at Melbourne’s Crown On line casino, on Monday 11 December.
