Sixteen of Australia’s most promising prospects will compete in singles on the Australian Open 2024 Junior Championships.
Emerson Jones and Maya Joint headline the Aussie contenders within the ladies’ singles occasion.
The 15-year-old Jones is among the world’s highest-ranked juniors and not too long ago turned the primary Australian in 24 years to win the Traralgon Junior Worldwide.
The sixth-seeded Jones meets qualifier Daria Egorova within the opening spherical.
Joint was a standout performer through the Australian Open 2024 ladies’s qualifying singles competitors, upsetting two higher-ranked opponents on her march into the ultimate spherical.
The 17-year-old begins her junior singles marketing campaign towards 14th seed Wakana Sonobe, a 16-year-old from Japan.

Pavle Marinkov and Hayden Jones lead the Aussie cost within the Australian Open 2024 boys’ singles competitors.
Marinkov was one of the best performing Australian at Melbourne Park final summer time, progressing to the third spherical as a wildcard entry. Aiming to higher that outcome, the 17-year-old begins his quest towards Korean Hoyoung Roh.
The 17-year-old Jones, who’s the older brother of Emerson and making his third main-draw look on the Australian Open Junior Championships, meets Italian Daniele Rapagnetta within the opening spherical.
Cruz Hewitt, the 15-year-old son of former world No.1 Lleyton Hewitt, is making his Grand Slam debut. The wildcard faces American Alexander Razeghi, a 17-year-old ranked No.10.
